What Is A2 Cow (Bilona Ghee)

A2 Desi Cow (Bilona Ghee) is the purest form of Ghee made from pure milk obtained from indigenous cows of India, which is made by the traditional Bilona or churning method.

In the traditional Bilona or churn method, first, the milk is converted into curd. After this, churning is done by hand or by the motor. The butter obtained by this process is collected. The collected butter is then heated until A2 Ghee is obtained.

Generally, two types of proteins are found in cow’s milk, A1 beta-casein protein and A2 beta-casein protein. But out of these, A1 protein is harmful to health. It has a negative effect on the body.

When ghee is made from A2 milk of indigenous cow, which is rich in A2 beta-casein protein. A2 beta-casein protein is found in only a few indigenous breeds of cows and other animals of India.
